Flight Sim Labs presented an exciting feature of the upcoming A319-X in an extensive forum thread this weekend: Dynamic ice. This occurs when the aircraft is within icing conditions. Another special feature is that the icing not only has an optical effect, but should actually have an effect on the aerodynamics also. According to Flight Sim Labs, this has never happened before in flight simulation.

Therefore it is really recommended to pay attention to possible icing during the virtual outside check. If this is the case, the aircraft can be de-iced with FSDreamTeam’s GSX Ground Services tool or otherwise via the MCDU. A320-X users can also hope. The feature will also be added to this product but not yet. You can find out more in the thread linked above.
