On Thursday evening X-Trident Harrier AV-8B was released for X-Plane 11. The US vertical takeoff aircraft is only compatible with X-Plane 11.30 and has not yet been completed. Nevertheless, the machine is already available as an early access version for about 40 US dollars at the X-Plane.org Store. In addition to a functional radar system, the developers also promise a complete head-up display (HUD), optional particle effects and operational weapon systems. Further features are FMOD-Sounds, a animated ejection sequence, particle systems effects and much more.
X-Trident Harrier: More about the original
The McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II is based on the British original. In the years between 1981 and 2003 a total of 337 aircraft were built. The aircraft is particularly distinguished by its vertical take-off capabilities, which enable it to take off and land in confined spaces. The Sea Harrier was engineered for the use on aircraft carriers.
