Aerosoft recently announced the development of Venice Marco Polo Airport (LIPZ/VCE) on its Discord server. The scenery is being developed exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, making full use of the simulator’s latest SDK features.
According to the developers, the project will go beyond recreating the airport itself, with the surrounding area also receiving attention. However, it remains unclear whether this will include a detailed rendition of Venice’s famous historic city centre. The announcement does mention custom road traffic and boat traffic, hinting at a more dynamic environment beyond the airport perimeter.
