New Aerofly FS 2 Update: Vulkan as the new Graphics API
Since yesterday an extensive update for Aerofly FS 2 from IPACS is available. Thit makes the Flight Simulator compatible with the new graphics API “Vulkan”. According to the Aerofly developers, this allows an even better performance to be achieved. Last week the update was still in beta phase, now it is available for all customers at Steam. If you own the box version or purchased the download from Aerosoft, you will have to wait a little longer.
What’s also new after the Aerofly FS 2 update
In addition to the new graphics interface, there are a number of other improvements for Aerofly FS 2. This includes the ability to disable the lens flare effect and the update is “quite large in terms of aircraft functionality,” as developer Jeff writes. So there are now fully animated switches in the cockpits of almost all machines (but without function). Furthermore, the autopilot has been improved, there are new functions for the A320 and much more.
