Pepelatz announces YAK18T for X-Plane 12

Developer Alex Pepelatz has announced the development of a Yakovlev Yak-18T for X-Plane 12 here on the X-Plane.org forum. Following his Yak-55M, this marks the next Russian classic from his portfolio. The Yak-18 is a radial-engine-powered training aircraft from the former Soviet Union. The Yak-18T is a cabin-modified version of the base model to feature a four seater cabin.

The first preview screenshots so far only show the bare, untextured 3D model. However, it looks extremely detailed.

29Palms does Mykonos again

Just a few hours ago, 29Palms Scenery Design announced that it would be developing the third edition of Mykonos for flight simulation. Having originally been released for FS9, the scenery will now be ported natively to FS2024. More information will follow—stay tuned

MK Studios announces Porto LPPR for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Yesterday, the developers at MK Studios announced a mod for Porto Airport (LPPR/OPO) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. While they usually don’t share WIP photos of unfinished products on Facebook, they decided to make an exception this time, as the developers noted in their announcement post. Lucky for us, this means we have something to show—and you have something to look at. The first screenshots can be seen in this Facebook post.

Nimbus announces Boeing 707 for X-Plane 12

The developers at Nimbus Simulation Studios first announced their plans for a Boeing 707 for X-Plane 12 toward the end of February. At the time, however, their Facebook teaser only revealed the aircraft’s engines.
That has now changed. In a new post shared yesterday evening, the team showcased the complete exterior model of the aircraft for the first time. They also noted that development is progressing quite well, which certainly sounds encouraging and suggests that a release within the coming months could be possible.

An exact release date has not yet been announced, but we’ll keep an eye on further updates.

Pyreegue announces Palma de Mallorca Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

A few hours ago, the developers at Pyreegue announced a conversion of Palma de Mallorca Airport for the MFS. In this post on their Facebook page, they show an early 3D render of the tower building and the airport tower. No further information is available yet, but we will stay on top of it.

Blackbird Simulations announces DHC-3 Otter

Today, the developers at Blackbird Simulations have announced a DHC-3 "Otter" as their latest project. Unfortunately, apart from a WIP screenshot of the cockpit, there is no further information available at this time. However, it seems certain that the aircraft will be released for FS2024. Simworks Studios will soon bring the GA-8 Airvan into the MFS

Simworks Studios is currently working on implementing a GA-8 Airvan for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This somewhat unusual aircraft will be available in two versions. While the basic version is geared more towards pure flying, the “SystemsPulse Edition” will offer a more in-depth system simulation. The implementation of the bush plane, which can carry up to six passengers, will first be released for MFS20 and later for MFS24. Customers of the FS2020 version will receive the FS2024 variant free of charge upon release.

Surprise: Digital Design Tivat announced

Only shortly after the surprising release of a Mallorca Scenery, which was developed together with Just Sim, there is now again a surprising announcement of Digital Design. With Digital Design Tivat, this time we&#039 going to Montenegro to the Adriatic Sea. A few hours ago, developer Evgeny Baturinan published a respective announcement in his own Facebook group. They show a total of five screenshots, which show the Prepar3D scenery already quite finished. Beside the airport there is also a screenshot showing a highly detailed harbor.

JustSim, on the other hand, is always criticized for less detailed sceneries. Nevertheless, there are occasional cooperations between the two studios. Evgeny didn&#039 know exactly when Tivat&#039 scenery would appear, but it shouldn&#039 take too long.

Orbx London City Airport announced for XP11!

Yesterday Orbx announced an add-on to London City Airport (EGLC/LCY) for X-Plane 11. This will finally make it one of England&#039 most popular destinations for TrueEarth Great Britain South. However, the airport will be usable again without the area scenery. Among the main features are a detailed implementation of the airport and its buildings, high-resolution textures with PBR effects and much more. In addition to the features mentioned above, London City Airport will also have orthotextures with a resolution of 60cm for X-Plane 11 from Orbx, in order to embed itself as perfectly as possible in TrueEarth Great Britain South. Flysimware Cessna 414 announced

With the Flysimware Cessna 414 the developer Mark Taylor has now announced the next project of his little studio. After having made trips into the world of business jets with the Falcon 50 and the Lear35, he is now going back to the General Aviation. More precisely, it will be a replica of a Cessna 414A. This is a twin-engine piston aircraft with winglets. No further details are known yet, but of course we will stay on it for you. The first renders of the Flysimware Cessna 414 can be found here in his Facebook group.
A special feature of the machine is that it has a pressurised cabin. It can therefore reach great altitudes. To ensure enough power on higher Flight Levels, the plane is equipped two turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engines, with 310 hp each.

Whiskey Jet Simulations A220-300 is coming to FSX

A development team called Whiskey Jet Simulations is currently working on the implementation of an Airbus A220-300 for FSX. Yesterday more preview screenshots were published on their Facebook page, which already show the cockpit including textures and avionics. Currently the release of the Airliner is only planned for FSX. Whether a version for Prepar3D v4 will be released depends on how successful the FSX release is. Originally, the Airbus A220-300 was developed and marketed as part of the Bombardier C Series by the Canadian transportation concern. However, the development was accompanied by numerous problems, so that the market launch took place much later than expected.
